URL with Thumbshot (Update v1.2.3)

This field does the same like URL Field, except that it shows a Thumbnail to that URL. You can choose from three Thumbshot Providers. Just look at the Demo. It explains more than words.

Update:

  • Nov 2011: Add fadeout.de as new free thumbshotprovider
  • Apr 2011: Some small code changes + add thumber.de
  • Jul 2010: Changed Code to work with Resources 1.5
  • Jun 2010: Changed shrinktheweb code to work after Jul 2010 and added three more sizes from shrinktheweb
  • Now you can enter your own Shrink the web Access Key.

The basic account from Shrink the web is free. You can register for free, later you can upgrade to Pro if you need it.

Love this plugin, thanks Helmut!!  Works really well, showing a thumbnail preview (you can choose different sizes) of the URL.  Some nice options too.

I've updated the plugin. You now can set your own STWAccessKeyID. The basic account is free.
