"Edit this field" button for frontend users (ajax-powered) Send Print

Component Resources
StatusIcon Status Revised and accepted

Hi,

At sites like Facebook, when you are editing your profile, not all the fields are loaded in 'editing mode'. Instead, you just see the page in normal view, but behind each field is a little "edit" button. When that button is clicked, the field changes into an editable field (using ajax) and you can change the content of it.

When there are many fields, resources gets pretty slow (and sometimes even instable in FF) when editing a record. I think it would be very useful (and fancy:)) to create an article form with ajax functionality.

Thanks,

Koen

Agreed, this would be nice.  Then I only need to worry about 1 or 2 fileds being edited instead of the whole record.  Very good idea.
