I think that a fancy filter module is currently one of the biggest improvements that could be made to resources. A nice layout, good usability, well functioning javascript and ajax functionality are some of the major things that are missing currently.

Apart from functionality, it would also be very nice if the filter module became universal. At this moment it is only possible to place the filter on top of the list view. But I would like to have a filter at the frontpage of my website. When visitors have set the parameters and press "Search", they are redirected to the actual list-view page.
