Though we were afraid that we will not in time we could complete Beta version release of JoomSuite Community component as was expected in September.

New Community component is a solution to create sites like MySpace or Facebook. Community have good event API and allows any other extension create integration pluginand add additional information to user profile and links to profile menu. It supports template system for user list and user profile. Templates gives great possibility to format layout. It is template`s responsobility to chose to display additional info in tabs or sliders or fieldsets or whatever. 

So you are welcome to try it and do not forget to send us feedback because that is the only thing that will make component better and appropriate for your needs.

P.S. Community component is an important part of future Commerce package for multi seller and Mall solutions. So release on Community is also a new step to the release of Commerce component and this allows us to hope that our Commerce component will be released at the beginning of the 2009.

JoomSuite Content is an advanced component for managing content on Joomla based website. In general this component allows to create absolutely any type of content with any number of custom fields and multileveled categorization, own rating, commenting and tags systems. The component is very easy to use. The principle of its functioning is based on creating contents types in a form of set of fields. This approach allows create video portal, news magazine, photo gallery, reviews, links directory, support desk and many, many more by means of one component.

The new key version 1.3.5 is a stable and includes many advanced features. There were added few fields to the set of core fields:

• Address - complex field with all details for filling complete address and Google map that show that address on the map
• Barcode - generate image Barcode
• Bill - allow select and show created Bills of JoomSuite Bill
• Gallery - allow to upload several pictures and display them as mini gallery
• Relate - Connect article types with one-to-many relations
• Social Bookmarks - allow to share article with all popular Public Bookmarks
• Subscription - require Subscriptions of JS Member to access this article
• Youtube - Show video from YouTube on your site
• Taber – Separate group or article into tabs or sliders

Ok, this is almost final, stable version for 1.3 key.

There are few important fixes and features. Any field can be the filter, article expiration fixed and new variable added to format templates professionally. it is $this->ifields. This variable is an array of all fields of current record.

Please, we recommend to update immideately.

We released new Member v 2.1.10. There is not anything special just important bug fixes. Also please, update PayPal plugin to v 1.15. It is very important for new version.

So we recommend every one update immediately.

Yesterday we released long-expected v1.3 of JoomSuite Content component. This version contain fixes for all bugs reported till 1 August 2008 and number of new very cool features. Let me present them.

• User Categories
  
  User categories allow visitors to store their submissions not only in global category structure or no in it at all but in their personal categories. This is important step for future community component where Content will be grate advantage but also for upcoming Commerce. This feature will allow create user personal homepages with user own categories. For example user picture albums or user product catalog and even user blogs.
• Advanced Pack
  
  For subscribed users we prepared Advanced pack that will be part of Advanced version later. This pack contain additional fields Youtube, Barcode, Bill, Subscribe, Address (with Google Map), Mini-Gallery, Tabber, Relation.
  
  Some of them require special attention. Tabber allows create content and group information in tabs. Relation plugin allow create related articles. This makes Content most unique on current market. Imagine you can create articles related for example Artist->Albums or Movie->Posters and Movie->Actors or Movie->Reviews that will allow not only comment movie but write review as new article and allow comment review. With this plugin Content has unlimited possibilities.
• Member integration
  
  Now you may control subscription on field level. You may charge for right to fill specific field on submission of charge for rights to see specific field.
