I have a question about the hits table that is used for the Resources component. I don't think it is a bug, but I can not find references about this.

I made a site, using Resources for many specials parts with specific templates. It look good and work perfectly. First, thanks for your perfect CCK product ;)

This site is an institutionnal one and has many visitors. It was put online one month ago, and I saw that the #__js_res_hits table has more than 500,000 rows in this period.

I activate hits only for one or two differents types of records (mainly videos), but I have at least 15 differents types declared, and it's seems to be activated for all of them.

The site server has it's own MySQL database, but I'm afraid about the growing of this table.

My questions are :
- Are they a way to completly desactivate hits for my others type ?
- If not, are they a way to purge data from this table or this can be done automaticly ?
