Hello,

Current version of Commerce component does not allow to leave some shop details empty. As there is no way to predict which product type seller will add. You may suggest user to set some phrase instead "prefer not to say", for instance. Please add topic to Feature Request to discuss changing of this part of Commerce component logic.

Understood, but admin decides what product *possible* to add - per section. Ideally, admin should have power on what exact fields needed for a "shop".

Administrstor may strict users to add certain type of article to the section. However you are going to use one content type with several product type fields. This schemes brings a lot of unpredictable situations, i.e. user adds record of the same type but different product type. It may look a bit complicated but it's simple if you remmember that Commerce uses Resources content types to build produts records.
