Hello,

I just installed MassMail. It  is not sending out emails. I urgently need to send emails out to members on particular subscription plans by tomorrow. I have a small test group subscription plan (Admin-test) with two members.  Email on site works ok tested by contact form. I've tried Global and SMTP without success in sending a test message trialed a variety of settings. I've completley uninstalled and reinstalled Massmail without any effect. Messages shows 0 of 0. I also tried Resume without success.

I welcome your advice!

Thank you.

Terry

Hello!

Sorry for delaying! Our developer worked on this issue and MassMail works. The problem was that you haven`t enable plugin of the component and enable plugins for the Mighty Resources. Now letters can be sent. Please check.

plugin filter for Mighty Resources was enabled. But Resources component is not installed there. It returns zero result. We'll add checking for preventing such situation.

Massmail is still not working.

I tried it with a small subscripton of 3 members and it seemed to work  ok.

When I ran it for all subscriptions (around 550members), it calculated the number of emails wrongly, sent 20 of then  then stopped.

I tried clicking 'Resume' but that simply doubled the number of emails to be sent.

Help! I welcome your advice.

Best regards,

Terry

Hello!

We looked at this letter but there wasn`t specified any user`s groups to sent. If you wanted to sent letters to all registered users you need choose 'Registered' in the Groups. If you wanted sent letters to the subscribers you need create, publish subscription plan in the Mighty Membership->Subscription plans and choose this plan in the User filters by subscriptions. If you have questions more please ask.

Hi Katerina, Please see my lateremail to you. since senfing out the MassMail to subscribersfrom 5groups, the adminperson had difficulty getting into user subscriptions page (wierd error messages). I reinstalled MightyRegistration and MightyMembership and all the membership plans and subscriptions for the 550 subscribers have disappeared. Youare looking at the MassMail message after the plans and subscriptions disappeared. The urgent problem now is to restore the plans and subscription data which we only have the J1.0 backup that Konstantin transferred to J1.5. Terry

The backup from the J1.0 it is better than nothing. I hope you will manage to restore all data. After all required procedures will be done we can return to the component MassMail if any questions occur. Regards

Dear Katerina,

Thank you for your previous messages.

The website is now reinstalled. Many thabnks to Konstantin!.  Ran test on Massmail with 'admin-test' subscription with three members - emails arrived ok after some time. 'Left to send' indicator, however, shows '0 of 1'.

Sent  newsletter to subscribed members (3 different subscriptions - 467 published memberships overall) . 'Left to send' indicator, however, shows '135 of 155'. Is this right?

Is there a way I can check the newsletters have all been sent ok to all 467 members?

If  only part of the newsletters have been sent, is there something that I should be doing differently?

Best wishes,

Terry

Hello!

>>Sent newsletter to subscribed members (3 different subscriptions - 467 published memberships overall) . 'Left to send' indicator, however, shows '135 of 155'. Is this right?

If after some time this value doesn`t change it is not right.

>>Is there a way I can check the newsletters have all been sent ok to all 467 members?

You need click on the button 'Resume' and the rest part of letters will be sent.

>>If only part of the newsletters have been sent, is there something that I should be doing differently?

You need only click Resume to continue mailing.

Dear Katerina, Thank you for your message I used 'resume' as suggested and MassMail now shows 'left to send' as '940 of 155' ! It should only be sending to 467 published subscribers. It now on the latest resume shows a message 'PHPMAILER_RECIPIENTS_FAILEDronitmb@yahoo.co.uk.' Does this mean the emails have not been sent? What is happening?? and where are the additional subscribers coming from? Regards, Terry

Hello!

Additional numbers occur because counter doesn`t updated. But we have tested many times: there is no any excess letter. We try to correct this issue next versions.

Hello! Users get a letter only one time. Counter gets wrong because of the Filters. You can do such test: create test letter, choose subscription plan and group Superadministrator. Even if you click on Resume and counter shows wrong number Superadministrator will receive only one letter. Regards

DearKaterina,

Thank you for your message.

The problem is different. The emails a re not getting sent out  for  the subscriptions.

i've tested 9 combinations. Three groups of users (administrators (2 users), an 'admin-test'group ( 3 users) and the Fellows group (10 users) with 3emailtransports (smtp, php and sendmail).

'Administrators' and 'admin-test' groups both work (eventualloy) on all three email transports.

The Fellow's group does not work on any email. This is unusual as the 'Fellow' email out was identical to the 'admin-tst' email except that in the software the Fellows subscription was exchanged with the 'admin-test' subscription. All other settings were identical.

I welcome your advice and guidance in resolving this.

Best regards,

Terry

Hello! We can only recommend you to sure that e-mails doesn`t sent. Please create test user with test subscription and sent him an e-mail. Settings leave the same as in global configuration (Mailer->Use global)Regards

ME Masmail is working fine for my client.  Haven't tested it on multiple memberships at the same time yet.

The key seesm to be settings for the mail server in Joomla aand ME Massmail. Any problems seem to be with the hosting company's set up of their mail server and the main issue is to find a way through the hosting copmany's mail server set up. Setup that works for my client is Joomla Global Configuration mail server set to smtp/port 25/authenticated/localhost/with username and password and ME Massmail settinsg of 150 messages every 30 minutes/Use Global/ no smtp authentification/ smtp server localhost.

It would be interesting to see what works for other Massmail users. When you get your's working please would you post your settings.

All the best for the festival season,

Terry
