Bad link and not programming tiem PDF Send Print

I’m using Mighty Mass Mail and I’m finsing several problems:

I use it to send newsletters with an article a day in a Membership section-category

1) Sometimes the link in the email which is received by destination user leads to a totally unconfigured page. Visually, link is the same as usual. But, when clicking on it, it produces a different code, so it brings to a bad page.

2) It’s not possible to program a sending for a given hour. Well: you can program it, but many hours later of the scheduled sending time, and even one day after, it is not sent. You need to send it manually.

Hello!

1) This issue was tested today on by me: the start of sending begins in the certain time that is set in the configuration of the letter and it is showed in the column Start Date in the Letter manager.

2) MightyMassMail doesn`t influence on the links. It sends only links that you have set in the text as the content of the letter is taken from the article manager you have choosen.  Users can be redirected to the other pages due to the settings of the components that you installed in the site. As I could see you use mod_news_pro_gk1.

Regards

1) No, it doesn't. I have not tested but I have actually done several times. I program and I save. When saved, it shows the column Start Date in the Letter manager. When time arrives, sending doesn't start. Indeed, it never starts. So I think mailing is sent, and when I check I'm badly surprised it's not, and it keeps showing on that lovely column the scheduled (and past) sending time.

2) We use mod_news_pro_gk1 in the front page. We don't use it in the articles sent in the mass mail. There is no link introduced manually. And then, it sometimes redirects OK, sometimes it goes to a strange configuration.

3) I don't know why I submit problems here. I've only done three times, and never got a useful answer. Or I have to solve it changing proceedings to avoid the failure, which would persist in the right manner, or I have to reinstall the whole thing (which was very painful and is not acceptable now that it has been running for quite a while) or I have to pray to be lucky when there are random failures, so as random events would be merciful.

Anyway, that you for your time.

1) Could you say what means of the server you used? Our test and the system on the server starts sending letters exactly on the time that is set in the Letter`s configuration. So the issue is on your site and we d like to know how we need repeat such behavior of the letters. 2) I offered you to test links manually from the letters. Could you say about your results? If you don`t want we can do it by yourself and say why the links are different and what the reason should be. 3) Every time you post topics you are answered but you don`t want follow our recommendations or advises. In this case we don`t know how to help you in investigating issues. Regards

Scheduling doesn't work. I also have another website (both with your sofware for membership, users and massmail) and it doesn't work either. OK, problem is in my server. Last time you said so we were checking, you were checking, you insisted, and at last you said server was all right but didn't know what happened (with a different issue).

Now: emailing has been first in php function mode. It didn't work. Now it is in an smtp mode, related to an external smtp account. It doesn't work. I mean it works but manually, not scheduled.

What do you need to know about server? it works on PHP 5.2.17, it's Apache/2, and Joomla version is 1.5.22 Stable.

Now I have a different complain about Juser. When users tick "remember me" box, it simply doesn't. I noticed because customers tell me so. I've checked myself and that's true. Is it again my server's fault? Do I have to configure anything anyware? We'r loosing paying subscribers because they are lazy to introduce their data each time.

Hello! Now it is more clear how you have tested the component but it isn`t clear how you have checked this issue on the server. The 'scheduled mailings' error will be added to the bugs of the component. The issue with Mighty Registration it is better place in the MightyRegistration section of the forum. 'Remember me' option just saves password and login name in the browser so user doesn`t type them every time. Please describe the behavior in a new topic of the module and look if you use mod_login or mod_jlogin. (For example: User filled username and password, put a tip 'Remember me' and what happen then). P.S. We appreciate your patience and work on finding bugs in our components. Your collaboration is important for us. Regards

No, I haven't been checked the issue on the server. It's not my server but  a hosting one, and they don't know either who's the fault. I gave up. Just was rethoric. Problems persist. I'm getting used to live along with problems which are not solved. So we are sending emails manually.

I shall repeat the login problem in teh subject Mighty Registration. Anyway, we use mod_jlogin. And yes, user fills user name and password and tip box Remember me, and login. Everything OK, then logout. Next time it doesn't remember anything. Even after typing username, it doesn't fills password authomatically. Well, I've been warned by complaining customers-members, and then I've checked myself. I'm still testing in different computers, OS and browsers, and checking my own browsers. It seems they're working fine, cookies accepted, everything OK, but still doesn't work. However I'm still checking.
