Hello,   I have just purchased and installed MassMail filters for Registration.  When I go to Components/Mighty MassMail/Letter Manager or Configuration, I just get the attached page, and clicking on either of Letter Manager or Configuration does nothing.  Am I missing something simple?  regards,  Peter

OK, now I've finally worked it out!  What a complicated process for sending a simple email!  This  component also seriously needs a help file.  Thanks,  Peter

Ah, I spoke too soon!  I have a Registration field "email" which is set to "Yes" or "No" depending on whether the user wishes to receive emails or not.  I just sent a test mass mail to 4 users (all test users, whose email addresses come back to me).  The filters were set up by selecting a value on one field which applied to just those 4 users, selecting the "email" field to "Yes", and selecting User Selection Type to AND.  One of the 4 users had "email" set to "No", so I expected to receive only 3 emails, but I got all 4.  This is the main purpose for which I bought Mass Mail - to ensure that only those that wanted emails got them - so I really do need this to work reliably.  What's going wrong?  regards,  Peter

Thank you for your immediate response. Some further information for your investigation: I sent a mass mail with just the "email" filter set to "No" (I have only one user for whom this is the case) and no other filters. I received 2 emails - one to the user with the No setting - another to a user with a Yes setting. regards, Peter

Excellent, thank you! I've tested it fairly thoroughly and it seems to do the filtering correctly. Sometimes I find I need to click Send twice - first time it says: "The letter(s) started for send successfully" but no mails go out ("to" would be better than "for"). Then I click Send again and it says "The letter(s) could not be started for send" and the emails go (Not sure what this is supposed to mean, but "The letter(s) could not be sent" would probably be better English). Also the "Left to Send" doesn't always make sense. However, it's doing what I need now so thanks for your attention to this. Kind regards, Peter

I am still having problems with MassMail.  My versions are as shown in the attachment.

I just sent a mail with 51 users satisfied by the filters.  I have sending properties set to 10 mails every 10 secs.  On clicking  "Send" I get:

The letter(s) started for send successfully.  Status = Waiting Send    0 of 0

I wait a long time and nothing happens.  I click "Pause" and get:

The letter(s) paused successfully.  Status = Sending Paused    41 of 51

I click "Resume" and get:

The letter(s) resumed successfully.  Status = Send in Progress   31 of 51

With repeated pausing and resuming I manage to send the lot, but why doesn't it just happen automatically?

I also get Effectiveness = 0.  What does this mean?

Hello!

Letters are send automatically. You  needn`t click Resume or Send every time. To see how many letter were sent you need update page.

The button 'Resume' can be clicked only if you clicked Stop or Pause.

'Effectiveness' columns contents how many peopel clicked on the links from the mails.

Regards

Thanks, Katerina, for the response. I'll now wait until I'm next sending out a massmail, but I don't think they are going out automatically since I have waited a long time since clicking "Send" and not received any of the several massmails which actually come back to me. regards, Peter

We tested mailings on our test installation and projects. It was successful and all recipients received letters. If you don`t receive letters to one account please check Spam folder. Regards
