Because we have the ability to multi-select categories, it makes that functionality very robust and opens up a lot of potential. But it can also clutter things.

It would be great if we had the ability to restrict category access for certain content types. So, for example, content type A can be assigned to sections 1, 2, 4 (and their children), and content type B can be assigned to sections 2, 3, 5 (and their children). Restricting in this way would need to be optional.

The primary benefit is that we could still allow frontend submissions to multi-select categories, but they wouldn't run the risk of selecting categories that don't apply to a given content type.

Did i really miss that feature?! I thought something like this is already build-in...

IF NOT:

I totally agree to lcdservices! It is an essential and must-have feature for frontend-submission!!!
