I would like to request a plugin that acts the way the bottom tabular popup does on the Economist magazine website.

Go here and clear around on a few articles: http://www.economist.com/

You will see a tab pops out on the bottom asking to Subscribe Now...

This would be great plugin to remind people and show them how to subscribe easily.

Nice idea, but i suppose its not really a specific function for MightyExtensions. I think, the example is not content related or dynamic to the visiters actions... so, nothing fancy is going on there. Its basicly an animated (timed or random) popup for guests. You could mimic this behavior with a 3rd-Party Joomla popup module... please, do a search with google or in the "JED". I am almost sure, there is no need to re-invent the wheel ;-) Except for a guest/registered check and visual style and positioning.

yes, not exactly related, as you say.

but it could be a plugin that throws different subscriptions up by ID, and have params such as intro text from description, length (years or months, etc), etc etc about the subscription.

it would have 4 opportunities to place in top and bottom, left or right.

ability to add custom header and text information (accepts html).

also, it could have parameters for selecting subscription IDs that are most popular or under utilized.

then add parameter for type of box (rounded corners or box), background color, links, etc..

could be a great extension for membership to have inside of it as an offering.

I see, its much clearer now, with some specific parameters and demands for membership plans ;-)

Maybe just more options for the usual membership module would help out. At the moment it shows standard stuff... my options and parameter wishlist:

- include/exclude plans by category or IDs

- ordering (random, as is, A-Z asc desc etc.)

- limit/total number of plans

- templates select or HTML custom template box, with placeholders for the details (price, period, descr, image)

All this would give a versatile "teaser" module for subscription plans ;-)

PS: I know, all this could be done with manual links, but that is not the joomla-way and we are lazy, right ;-)

any word on this plugin....

i really would love to have something like the economist.com has to help sell my subscriptions....

if you do create this....please make sure there is an area in this popup to list article titles (by ID number would be great).

please consider this opportunity for this type of plugin. Should be easy to code, work very well, and offer big benefit to website users of Membership.

Also, if you do this, please be sure to avoid all JS conflicts - as they are escalating in Joomla now with so much extensions!
