Analytic 2.0 is going to be next generation site analysis. It will allow visitors of the sites not only to see publicly available reports but generate private reports. Private report will show analytics only on data posted, viewed, commented, ... by currently loged in user. Something like "Statuses of my tickets in support desk" or "Seller sales" or "Order statuses".

Yes text means a lot, but chart diagrams sometimes may say more about your site then any advertisment. And charts usually not lie unlike text advertising does sometimes :) so visitors can have deeper confidence to your site.

Touch 1.1.7

Today we released Touch 1.1.7 which is very stable. To be true, Touch is much more then we expected it to be. We tried to create profiling system for b2b ecommerce websites based on our Commerce solution but it turn out to be very powerful social network application with no analogy on today’s market.

Resources 1.5

Next version of Resources we release coming week is 1.4.7. It is a last 1.4 series. So harry up to report all errors if you want them to be fixed there. After 1.4.7 next version will be 1.5.0. We do not plan many new features there, though we prepare some surprises. The main goal of 1.5 is optimization. We will optimize DB, queries, we will implement 2 levels of cache for whole HTML pages and on the query level. We already have scheme where number of queries decreases to 30%. The expected speed growth at least 70%.

Analytics 2.0

New Analytics is just about to be released. It is in testing mode.

The main new feature is: reports are visible on frontend. In fact it is accessible only from frontend. Users can see reports for their own items. Foe example for ecommerce, sellers will be able to see sale reports, or user may see report on popularity of own blog items, or, ... almost whatever you can imagine. I mean the same as it used to be but on frontend and with more features in there.

Beta testers are welcome.

"Resources 1.4 - Case Studies" video series started in video blog. There are only one video now about how to create event-calendar section, but we plan more videos shortly.

Here is the roadmap for video blog section

• Resources 1.4 - Case Study - Music. How to create music section and also touch for relational records with new "Relate Parent 2" and "Relate Child 2" fields. Albums -> Songs type.
• Resources 1.4 - Case Study - Forum. We now prepare set of templates for comments, articles, category index, filters, ... that will allow to create forum looks familiar to other contemporary forum systems.
• Resources 1.4 - Case Study - Video. How to create YouTube like site. The key here will be how to edit and create custom templates.
• Resources 1.4 - Case Study - Product Catalog. Last case study for this series planned. This section we will create for future Commerce Case Studies and later will turn this section into multi-seller shop.

This is all videos that I plan to record. based on this videos I will create videos for Touch, Commerce, Message.

Our video section was temporary closed because www.brightcove.com did not tell us the prices for services until the last day of our tryout period. In the mean time we had started to use it as we were under the impression that it was affordable. After we had made further contact with sales we had discovered that it was considerably more than our budget would allow us. This cost is $500 a month yet with limitation on traffic and HDD space.

As you all may be aware we have changed the name to MightyExtensions. We are still in the process of changing and elimating everything in reference to JoomSuite wherever we meet it. I hope you all like the new name and that this name reflects the true nature of our products.

We have changed the name because we had joom in the name and that was the reason our components remained unpublished from JED. We shall conform to their requirements to get back there.

Do not worry! I have good news. You can read it in the info box on the pricing page. You know, I've been a customer. I mean used to purchase components too and I know what a customer expects when spending money. I remember how I felt when I purchased iMagazine with only one domain, 1 year support and 1 year of updates. I felt terrible when I thought that I needed to pay again after one year if I just wanted to ask a question or download updates.

We do not want any of our customers to feel like that. All customers are truly most valued in our eyes and hearts.

Although we cannot do anything with domain restriction, we have eliminated all the other restrictions. Here is what you have now:

• Lifetime commercial license for one project which can include one domain or more.
• Lifetime updates for all components and advanced templates/plug-ins/filters.
• Lifetime status and priority support.

The latest is TBEAR:FILL component that converts any RSS feed into Resources articles. It is great feature and has been desirable for a long time. Thanks to tzetter .

It is 10 simple steps/videos how to use Resources, User, PeopleTouch, Inbox to create basic configuration of social network sites. Here is really great news! The sem7urg video has already been created ( "Resources - Understanding The basic"  ) a few days ago and now this video series is just funtastic!

It may of come to your attention that site was recently hacked. There is however no need for concern. You can still trust our Components.

Here is what we found upon investigation:

Let me be very clear on this issue: THERE IS NO VULNERABILITY IN OUR COMPONENTS, NONE WHATSOEVER!

Here is the complete story:

Approximately 5-6 months ago I found strange code in the Joomla authorization plugin that sent login data of everyone who logs into the back-end (ONLY BACKEND NOT FRONTEND).

From our investigation we found out that a hacker came in through Joomla 1.5.8. The security release 1.5.10 was out but we did not update the same day.

Aside from the fact that we have a new video for Resources 1.4 (how to install) in Video blog section we have changed our video service provider.  It means that now most of the video stream is not from Vimeo but from BrightCove. Vimeo was great, easy to work with and obtainable at less cost, however, it was illegal to publish commercial content there and our videos were more commercial because they could be considered as promotional videos.

BrightCove is an enterprise solution and it is for commercial videos. It is much more advanced. Now, with the same file size, we have better quality and a bigger player window (640x480). The quality is good enough to expand to full screen. The player looks better and fits website style. 

Last but not least, you will find you can publish this video on your site. On every video you will find the "Publish" button which gives you a variety of publishing options. 

We have updated the page Understanding JoomSuite. It describes VIP statuses, karma statuses and how you can get Karma points. In the future it is possible that people with bigger Karma will get some discount. 

We advise all JoomSuite Users to read this article as it will answer lots of your questions and help reduce unnecessary additional traffic to the support team. 

It is long way we got to this 1.4 release point. Resources 1.4 is outstanding CCK component for Joomla have been greatly improved and advanced. Yet now it is GPL. Though advanced fields, templates, icons and now filters and later tools available only with advanced suite.

We honestly believe that resources is so good that every Joomla installation should have it installed. That is why we did it GPL. We want it to be not affordable but available for everyone.

We are happy to announce the launch of JoomStyle - our latest and one of the best Joomla templates projects available today.

We have been working on this exciting project for over half of a year to ensure the best templates of the highest quality for the most demanding of site or client requirements.

As promised component-by-component we are moving forward and creating documentation for all Components. We have now added documentation for Inbox component to the online doc server and additional formats to the download section.

In next version of Inbox, documentation will be also available from toolbar help button.

We've launched a new service. Not really a service but a helpful resource. It is components online documentation. There are only 2 components currently they are Member and User. Inbox is currently in progress. Then there are plans for PeopleTouch, Resources and Commerce. I name then in the order we plan to develop. Actually we should say thanks to 3Q Technologies, they have done a great job.

Hello.

I know that everyone was distressed and worried that frequently our site was down. We were trying to configure and optimize server but it was unsuccessful. We've taken the decision to migrate to another server and today it was completed. Now site is hosted on a dedicated more powerful server.

I hope that the previous problems with slow response times and connection timeouts are resolved.

We are glad to present our flagship Component. Currently in alpha version we've tried to test it thoroughly and deliver it free from bugs, I hope this is the case. We've also prepared a Quick-start introduction outlining how it works and how to configure it. You can download it from the Documentation category. Please be patience and study it before starting work with Commerce. On first impressions it may look very complex but if you already know the Resource, Bill and Inbox Components, it's not too difficult.

Not only our site style was changed but we have also done some additional changes which are important to announce.

1. First you might have noticed that we have been forced to raise our pricing but in addition we have created new suites available. Though it is regrettable but it was the necessary action to ensure we stay afloat and can continue to provide the same level and quality of development, support and services to our community.

Resources 1.3.14 that is released today as a fix of very few and minor errors in 1.3.13 is a very stable version. Right now it is ready for production websites, it is reliable, quick, feature rich, tested by thousands of users. Though it is full of cool features it far away of what we finally want it to be. And here is some new features that waits our customers on version 1.4 which will be next.
